Why Parenting Style Matters

Parenting a child with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder has its challenges. It is important as a parent to make sure you are practicing a parenting style that works the best for your child. Being too strict or authoritarian on your child could make he or she act on their obsessive behaviors more. An authoritative parenting style that focuses more on support and less on discipline may work better in the household.
